I recently took a personal leadership retreat in Connemara, Ireland where I spent 5 days reflecting, resting, and planning for the 2nd half of this year. I also scouted spots to host a Brave Wisdom retreat (more on that later).

What’s important to share now is how essential unplugging is.

I got out of my normal routine and got back into my body and soul. Heck, I even drove on the left side of the road after traveling from San Jose, CA all the way to Shannon, Ireland.

Getting out of my normal routine in so many ways was just I needed to get some perspective and clarity.

Let me ask you…what will you do for yourself this summer to unplug and re-connect to yourself?

It’s really important to get clear on what matters and identify what you will do to reconnect to yourself in this hectic time. Filling your tank allows space for you to be there for others too.

What will you do for yourself? Will you do for your team? How about your family? Take 5 minutes and jot down some micro-steps you can take to put yourself on your agenda so you can be present for the moments that matter to you.

Here’s your journal prompts to help you get clear fast:

1. When I’m unplugged I feel like…

2. This is important to me because…

3. Here are 3 things I can do this week to give myself 10 minutes of quiet…

Now decide on one thing to do today and put it on your calendar.
